Former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon lived one of the most fascinating lives of anyone born in the last 100 years. My favorite story about Sharon was his directing the encirclement of the Egyptian Third Army in the Yom Kippur War. His distinctive face was clearly visible in his tank--within sniper range of the enemy.
This guy had guts.
