A chance to fail again on pensions: Quinn calls back General Assembly for special session

Democrats rule here
Governor Pat 'Kal-El' Quinn, 413 days after he boasted that he was "put on earth" to fix Illinois' worst-funded in the nation pension system, called for a special session of the General Assembly to begin in two weeks.

However, Quinn's spokeswoman says that there is no bill or compromise that has emerged since the spring session of the legislature adjourned last Friday.

And the pension debt keeps growing....

The Democrats, who are beholden to their public employee union allies who oppose pension reform, have supermajorities in the General Assembly, which is led by two Chicago Democrats. Quinn's a Chicago Democrat, too.

Any questions?
