Occupy uses ice carving in hot Tampa to protest RNC--and a hurricane is coming

Occupy Chicago, October 2011
There's a reason that outdoor ice-carving festivals are held in places like Minneapolis in January. Not even Chicago is consistently cold enough to guarantee cooperative temperatures.

But leave it to the Occupy movement to utilize an ice carving for a protest on the eve of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, as Bryan Preston reports in the PJ Tatler.

Oh, there is also a hurricane en route.

Drug use destroys the mind.

The ice sculpture was the work of New York based artists Ligorano and Reese and are not with the Occupy movement. The artists will be doing an ice sculpture at the DNC, as well.

Not only do I know the PJ Media writer who posted that entry, but I know the photographer as well. I'm sticking with their account here.
