Top Obama adviser David Plouffe lied to Chris Wallace earlier this morning on Fox News Sunday about the Keystone XL pipeline. He wrongly claimed that Nebraska's governor, the state legislature, and unidentified "people throughout the state" take issue with the route of the jobs-creating pipeline because it travels through an aquifer in the state's Sandhills region.
Facts are stubborn things: The route of pipeline has been changed so it doesn't cross that part of the Cornhusker state--which Wallace explained to Plouffe. The host also debunked Plouffe's claim that Nebraskans oppose the pipeline.
Two weeks ago the president personally lobbied Democratic senators to vote against a bill that would have forced the approval of Keystone.
