Fox News analyst Dick Morris was the featured guess at a fundraiser for William J. Kelly two nights ago. "I'm here for William Kelly because he is a warrior," he declared. Kelly is a candidate for 42nd Ward Republican Committeeman in Chicago.
"Only he'll slit your throat with a smile," he added, tongue in cheek.
Yesterday I posted videos of Morris discussing Senator Mark Kirk and local politics. Look for those YouTube clips in the related posts section.
"At the moment, what passes for political opposition in Chicago," Morris continued, "is the grumblings of dissident factions in the Democratic Party that haven't gotten their patronage payouts yet."
"There is no viable, strong Republican opposition in this city," he asserted.
Morris suggested a solution to this problem. He can't think of a "better warrior, a better guerilla fighter, a better hand-to-hand combatant than my friend William Kelly."
Election Day is March 20, the 42nd Ward covers much of Chicago's Loop and Gold Coast.
