Super Tuesday super close; Illinois Primary to mean something

Henry, IL--Ronald Reagan Trail
I have a weekly commitment each Tuesday--until next week--so I'm just now digesting Super Tuesday. As is so often the case--tonight's winner--or perceived winner will--come down to the results in Ohio.

The good news is that the GOP campaign will last a couple of more weeks--so the March 20 Illinois Primary will mean something for once. And we have that day all by ourselves. Yes, Illinois can do at least one thing right! Rick Santorum has prevailed as of this writing in three states--as has Mitt Romney. Newt Gingrich won his old home state of Georgia.

Driving around in Illinois you wouldn't think there was a Republican primary so soon. I've seen a few Ron Paul bumperstickers--that's it.

And that will change as soon as tomorrow.
