Video: Newt crowns CNN's King on ex-wife question

Tonight's CNN debate got off to a bad start for moderator John King--when he chose to start off the event by asking Newt Gingrich about the explosive accusations made by his ex-wife Marianne.

"I am frankly astounded that CNN would take trash like that and use it to open a debate," was part of his answer."



He added, "I am tired of the elite media protecting Barack Obama by attacking Republicans."

It was an historic moment.

Bravo, Newt.

As for the allegations, the former House Speaker says they are "false."
