Brewer responds to Obama |
From Politico:
"He brought up my book. And he was a little tense. I asked him if he read my book, 'Scorpions for Breakfast' and he said he read the excerpt and he didn't think that I was very cordial," Brewer told radio host Mike Broomhead on KFYI radio. "He was somewhat thin-skinned and a little tense to say the least. I was trying to be very calm."There are two lessons here. Obama doesn't like to be challenged and the GOP nominee needs to do that to him this fall. Also, his sensitivity explains why he surrounds himself with sycophants such as Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod. Those who challenge him, for instance Rahm Emanuel or William Daley, find themselves no longer working at the White House.
"The book is factual, the book is true," Brewer repeated on Fox's Greta Van Susteren show. "I don't know why he was surprised by my book but he evidently is and he's very thin-skinned in regards to it."
Brewer and Obama reportedly got into a disagreement upon the president's arrival in Phoenix Wednesday, over Brewer's recent 2011 book. In her book, Brewer describes two meetings with the president — once at the White House in 2010 and once at Arizona State University. In the book, she describes being 'lectured' by the President over immigration.
