House votes down two-month payroll tax extension, tips hand on Keystone XL

The House of Representatives voted down the Senate-passed two month payroll-tax bill earlier this afternoon. The House wants a year long extension, as does the president.

But Obama, who probably is a terrible poker player, tipped his plan a few minutes ago in a snap-press conference by calling the Senate bill, which includes a provision compelling the president to make a decision on building the job-creating Keystone XL pipeline, "the only viable option" for the extension.
