Pretenders: My City Was Gone

When I wrote my Ohio entry for my Ronald Reagan Trail series, I thought about the Pretenders' "My City Was Gone."

I went back to Ohio,
But my city was gone.
Ohio, Illinois has just 550 residents, it's hardly a city.



It's bold bass line of course is best known by Rush Limbaugh listeners as El Rushbo's quasi-theme song, although Pretenders' leader Chrissie Hynde and Limbaugh have disparate political views.

As you'll read below, Ohio, Illinois is inundated with wind mills.
