North of the Cheese Curtain: Walker's budget repair bill wins in WI Supreme Court

Overruling a decision by Dane County Judge Maryann Sumi, the Wisconsin Supreme court reinstated Governor Scott Walker's budget repair bill. It was passed by Republicans in the state legislature while its Democratic members fled south of the Cheese Curtain to Illinois.

It's a big defeat for Big Labor. Unions have been losing members for decades, their only strength of late has been in the public sector. Now they're getting pounded in that redoubt.
