Reid complaining about GOP 'interference' in NLRB overreach; Senate never even approved Craig Becker appointment

Here's a big chunk of irony to choke on. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid doesn't like Republican criticism of the National Labor Relations Board's overreach in the Boeing case. "This kind of interference is inappropriate," says the Nevadan. Well, using your word, Harry, interfering is part of your job. Hey, even the meddlesome NLRB agrees. From their web site: "Board members are appointed by the President to 5-year terms, with Senate consent."

With Senate consent. But Big Labor and President Obama wanted card check radical Craig Backer as an NLRB board member. But because each Republican senator and enough Democrats expressed doubts about the suitability of Becker, Obama bypassed the Senate, which Reid controls, and utilized a recess appointment to place the former AFL-CIO and SEIU attorney on that board.

Of the 2010 Democratic Senate candidates, Reid received the most union cash.
