Unwelcome snow flurries today made my mind to think of northern latitudes, specifically Wisconsin.
First the good news: Although a recount is almost certain, all of the votes have been counted in the hotly-contested state Supreme Court contest; the union-backed candidate was defeated by incumbent David Prosser.
But opponents of new Republican Governor Scott Walker and his pushback against public-sector unions won't go quietly. For evidence I present to you a Thursday break-in at the "Recall Dave Hansen" office in Green Bay. Hansen is one of the fleebagger Democratic state senators who crossed the Cheese Curtain and camped out in Illinois instead of doing his job in Madison.
Unlike LaCrosse Republican Dan Kapanke. He stayed in the capital and in return for doing the job he was being paid for, last month he had his car window smashed, his wife found nails placed on the driveway of their LaCrosse-area home, and Kapanke has received death threats.
While Walker's budget-repair bill was making its way through the state assembly, live ammunition, over a dozen rounds of it, were found near the capitol building in Madison. At the capitol, a wooden door was kicked in and its door knobs were handcuffed.
Other March monstrosities: In Greendale, vandals spray painted a bank with "f___ you Scott Walker" and "unions are forever."
There just isn't much union and Democratic civility in America's Dairyland, as Investor's Business Daily told us last month.
And the thuggery continues.
