Clearly the Democrats aren't serious about cutting the budget. Townhall discovered that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid bemoaned the possible loss of National Endowments of Arts funding for a northern Nevada cowboy poetry festival. He's calling Republican cuts "mean-spirited."
Somehow I think western civilization can survive the demise of the festival, and for that matter, if there is no NEA, art will persevere.
The Democrats just don't get it.
