The House Energy and Power Subcommittee voted yesterday to block the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gases yesterday. After the failure of its unpopular and expensive cap and trade legislation, the Obama administration threatened to utilize the regulatory route to enact its schemes--and it has made good on that promise.
Similar legislation is being debated in the Senate, but economically-devastating carbon regulation remains popular in the White House.
Look for EPA overreach to be a major campaign issue in 2012.
