The "permatorium" in the Gulf of Mexico--a big jobs inhibitor--continues, but there is some good news. Yesterday a federal judge found the Interior Department in contempt for continuing the drilling moratorium there.
Now some more bad news: Economist Joseph Mason says that higher taxes on oil and gas companies in the form of the repeal of Section 199 and dual capacity credits will kill 150,000 jobs--in this year alone.
Have you checked the price of gasoline lately?
