Much has been written, by me and many others, about the devastating recession we have been enduring for over two years. But it's time to talk about success: Walmart continues to expand and be profitable. Walmart's Community site begins to tell the story, but the associates profiles section completes it.
You can learn about Noemi Flores, who was raising a family of four on welfare, but "after I got the job at Walmart, things changed immediately." She's now a homeowner whose son works for Walmart. Or William Billups, began his "first real job" was as a part-time sales associate at Walmart--two months later he was a department manager. A year later he was promoted again.
Tracey Lloyd went from West Point to Iraq--where she received a Bronze Star--to Walmart.
Good news for tough times.
