I visited RealClearPolitics this afternoon--and I noticed something big. Its House race prognosticator lists 220 seats going to the Republicans. The GOP needs 218 seats to win the House of Represenatives and fire Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
The RCP breakdown as of Saturday evening October 23: There are 163 Safe GOP seats. Add 14 Likely GOP and 43 Leans GOP seats--and you get 220. There are 37 Toss Up seats.
But there is a lot of work to do in the next nine days. Now is not the time to celebrate.
But it's okay to smile.
