The Daily Kos e-mailed me again--we go way back--about a Public Policy Polling survey showing Rep. Joe Sestak, a Democrat, leading Republican Pat Toomey in the Pennsylvania US Senate race by one percentage point.
Just last week, Kos trumpeted Hart Research poll showing similar results. That poll was paid for by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
As for the PPP poll, I just watched the Weekly Standard's Stephen Hayes criticize the methodology of it on Fox News' Special Report--there were too many Democrats, Hayes explained, in PPP's sample. Any sober-minded person is aware that the Dems are on the short end of 2010's "enthusiasm gap."
Last week Rasmussen moved the Keystone State's Senate race from "Leans GOP" to "Solid GOP."
Even the New York Times' FiveThirtyEight blog is skeptical of the PPP poll.
Their surveys have been generally been in line with other polls, until very recently that is.
