Like renters facing eviction, the Democrats might see the post-election "lame duck" session as an opportunity for sensless vandalism. But instead of flushing lit M-80 firecrackers down a toilet, the Democrats might stick us with jobs-killing union card check, higher taxes, along with possibly a new levy, a value-added tax.
Illinoisans can help stop such destruction by voting for Mark Kirk twice for senator on November 2. Yes, it will be legal. Kirk is running for the last two months of the old Barack Obama term--Rod Blagojevich appointee Roland Burris currently holds that seat--as well as a full six-year term.
Even one new Republican vote should be enough to snuff out the Dems' lame duck cherry bombs. Kirk's campaign has a new site, Save Us from the Lame Duck, which includes this video:
