Look for Joel Pollak, the Republican candidate for Congress in Illinois' 9th District, at this afternoon's Indian Independence Day Parade in Chicago's West Rogers Park Neighborhood. The parade takes place on Devon--between Western and California and kicks off at 12pm noon.
The 9th has a large Indian-American population. In Skokie there is a statue of Mohandas K. Gandhi on McCormick Avenue.
Last week Pollak held a town hall in Skokie with 250 people in attendance.
If you'd like to march with Pollak today, then meet him at 2525 W, Devon ave between 11:15 and 11:30am.
