Illinois' unemployment rate is nearly two-points higher than the national rate. Although states cannot declare bankruptcy, Illinois' debt is approaching Greek levels--a proposed budget includes pension IOUs.
But a Cicero Democratic State Senator, Martin Sandoval, found time to send a letter to Chicago White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf, asking him to move out of the team's two year old spring training facility in Glendale because of Arizona's tough immigration law.
The South Siders' home park is owned by the state.
Governor Pat Quinn, also a Democrat, says Sandoval's idea is "worth looking into."
Both men are White Sox fans.
The Cubs own their stadium, Wrigley Field--so far no state politician is calling for the Cubs to abandon Arizona, where they have trained for decades. Which leads state Sen. Terry Link (D-Waukegan) to comment, "I'm not a Cubs fan so I could care less what they do. But I understand they're already contemplating a move to Florida."
Yes, the Cubs might move to the Grapefruit League, but the move has been contemplated by the team's new owner since January.
There's an election in Illinois in November.

Let me ask again: is Martin Sandoval an agent of the Mexican government?
Use his link to that government against anyone who supports the scheme.
