Dem Specter slips, claims College GOP support

National Review once dubbed Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania the worst Republican in the Senate. There are some worse Democrats--Blago's pick for the Senate, Roland Burris, comes to mind--but not many. Now that Specter's a Dem, it can safely be said he is one of the worst Democratic senators in the upper chamber.

Politico reports that while addressing the Penn State College Democrats, Specter boasted of his support from College Republicans. A spokesman for Rep. Joe Sestak, Specter's Democratic Primary opponent, retorted, "Thing is, Specter didn't even earn any endorsement — Republican or otherwise. The Pennsylvania College Democrats aren't endorsing. It's even in their constitution."

Here's the video:

The Democratic Primary will be held on May 18.
