GOP's Young Guns a direct hit with cash

I met Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) at a Republican National Convention breakfast where he talked about the then-new Young Guns initiative to elect Republicans in open and Democratic-controlled House of Representatives districts.

Young Guns is back, and the National Journal reports that House GOPers have already donated $1.2 million to the cause.

One Democrat on the radar of Young Guns is North Dakota's Earl Pomeroy.
