DuPage County State's Atty Joe Birkett endorses Jim Ryan

I watched this morning as Kirk Dillard, you know, the guy who appeared in a Barack Obama campaign commercial, make the specious claim that despite the endorsement of DuPage County Chairman Bob Schillerstrom of Jim Ryan, it will be Dillard who will benefit the most from Schillerstrom's exit from the Republican gubernatorial race.

Just two days after Schillerstrom's endorsement of Jim, the number two DuPage County office holder, State's Attorney Joe Birkett, announced he supports Ryan's effort to become the next governor of Illinois.



How will Dillard spin this development? Oh, in his address, Birkett issues a very strong warning about Andy McKenna, the "political outsider" who until recently was the chairman of the Illinois Republican Party.
