Blago lawyers seek FBI interview notes from Obama, Stern, Balanoff interviews

Illinois Democrats have a lot to worry about in 2010. The Rod Blagojevich corruption trial is scheduled to begin in June and will serve as a daily reminder of Democratic sleaze.

But it won't be just about Blago. For instance, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting this morning that the attorneys for the hair-brained former governor are seeking notes from 2008 FBI interviews with then-President-elect Obama, as well as SEIU Illinois President Tom Balanoff and Andy Stern, the national boss of SEIU.

On the day before Election Day last year, Blagojevich met with Andy Stern.

Among other things, Blagojevich has been accused of attempting to sell Obama's old Senate seat.

On a national level, the daily dribs and drabs from the Blago trial will remind voters that the president and many of his inner circle are Chicago politicians.

With Staright Shooting Andy Stern crafting this script, it is nice that Blago will have so many others to help him shoulder the blame and really get to the truth of the matter.
