Gallup poll: 59% of Americans disagree with Obama, want military trial for KSM

According to a Gallup poll released yesterday, 59 percent of Americans believe that 9/11 master mind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed should be tried in military court, not in a civilian criminal court. Only 36 percent of American support the Obama administration's decision to tried as an ordinary criminal suspect.

Not surprisingly, Republicans overwhelmingly want the terrorist to be tried by a tribunal--74 percent. But 63 percent of independents share this view, as well as 43 percent of Democrats.
