McCain to endorse Mark Kirk today for Senate

When you take a long trip, things pile up at home, which is why I won't be able to attend John McCain's visit to nearby Glenview, where he will endorse Rep. Mark Kirk for the U.S. Senate.

Kirk, a Highland Park Republican, has been leading in the polls over the Democratic front runner for the office, State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias. That seat is currently held by Roland Burris, who was appointed to the position by disgraced former Governor Rod Blagojevich.
