Daisies in June
Just like the yellow flags I blogged about Sunday, the more common daisies are also European invaders.
It's believed the flower's name is derived from "day's eye," daisies close their buds at night. Geoffrey Chaucer called them
"eyes of the day."
There are plenty of daisies in the woods of Morton Grove right now.
