This stimulus project has been brought to you by the perpetual Obama campaign

I believe just four percent of the $768 billion stimulus package, formally known as American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, has been spent. Well, I found what some of that stimulus money is going for--signs like these that I encountered this morning on Skokie Boulevard in Skokie, Illinois.

Sheesh, it's bad enough that I have to pay for the stimulus bill, but why do I have to kick in for Obama's 2012 reelection campaign?

I'm wondering if these ARRA signs will be as ubiquitous as the NRA eagle was during the the early days of the Franklin Roosevelt presidency.

Don't that just make you sick to your stomach? I would like to stick that sign, well never mind where I would like to stick it on Obama's person, just use your imagination.

There is Another ARRA Out There http://arkansasgopwing.blogspot.com/2009/05/there-is-another-arra-out-there.html

Arkansans used the former Arkansas "Home of President Bill Clinton" welcome signs for target practice. When Clinton left office, the Arkansas Highway Dept removed all of the welcome sings for public safety. None of the new welcome signs suffered this fate. Imagine what the Arkansas hunters are going to do when the see that nice circle on these new Obama Stimulus signs? :)

The sign in your picture is even worse than mine.

Nor is most of the spending listed on recovery.gov.

Here in Chandler, Arizona, I've noticed that the road crews now put up big orange signs with the name and phone number of the company doing the work for the city. I assume it's their way of showing us "America has gone back to work." Creating new jobs- even if they only last a month! That's the great American dream?
