Obama: Stocks "potentially a good deal"

Barack "Doom and gloom" Obama, speaking about buying stocks, said that it is a "potentially a good deal ... if you have a long-term perspective on it."

Potentially a good deal?

Why won't Obama talk up the economy?

As pointed out, Obama said:

On the other hand, what you're now seeing is profit and earning ratios are starting to get to the point where buying stocks is potentially a good deal, if you have a long-term perspective on it.

Profit and earnings are the same thing. And even amateurs like me know that trying to time "Price to earnings ratios" in the market is like hunting birds with a hammer. You miss a lot more than you catch.
