Burris compared to Larry Craig

Here's an Associated Press article that I like. America's least popular senator, Roland Burris (D-Blagojevich) is compared to former Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID).

No, Burris has not been trolling airport men's rooms, but it's great to see Burris linked, however tenously, to another butt (not sure how that word got in there) of jokes on late night talk shows.

On a more serious note, remember the GOP stripped (another oops) Craig of his committee chairmanships after the toilet scandal broke. Granted Burris has no chairmanships, but if Democrats such as Dick Durbin want Burris gone from the Senate, they can follow the suggestion I made last week: kick him off of every committee he serves on.

Unlike Craig, Burris has the support of black leadership. Even if he didn't he probably still would hang around as long as Craig. They'll practically fight hard for him to stay where he is and get him to run for a full term.

I can't imagine Craig had that much support even if he had decided to run for another term.
