Brady ran a spirited campaign for the same post three years ago, finishing third in the Republican Primary. Besides the other candidates, Brady faced two other opponents: name recognition and money. He'll have less of a problem in regards to the first one, and with the Rod Blagojevich/Roland Burris stench still violating the nostrils of 12.8 million Illinoisans, raising funds should be an easier task for Brady this time.
