Frozen North Branch of the Chicago River

Yesterday was the first time the official high temperature in Chicago didn't go over zero degrees Fahrenheit in thirteen years.

Right now it's -4, so it looks like we'll have a second straight day in the temperature netherworld.

Pictured is the North Branch of the Chicago River in St. Paul Woods in Morton Grove.

It's colder than a well digger's
pencil outside today, about 3
