The latest John McCain ad--and it is another good one--features Democrats, including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama--praising the presumptive Republican nominee for president.
This will be a very effective advertisement--it's clearly directed to independent voters and conservative Democrats.
It's too bad that in the past year Sen. McCain's flipped on so many of the positions that earned him that praise in order to mimic the failed Bush agenda and try to score points with hard-line conservatives.
As his Republican colleague Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi told the Boston Globe: "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."
Perhaps Greybeard will come along and yelp that Sen. Cochran is just an Obama mouthpiece, but I doubt all those Mississippi social conservatives who elected him think that.
