Obama asking supporters to pay off Hillary's debt

News comes in this morning that Barack Obama is asking his finance arm of his campaign to assist Hillary Clinton in paying off her sizable campaign debt. My guess is that a lot of people will have trouble finding their checkbooks.

Uh, yeah, especially with Obama's reversal on FISA/telcoms (which breezed through the Senate today and should be voted through tomorrow). Maybe the big money types will help, but his base -- they're dumping him.

I can't imagine the small donors are going to open their checkbooks and I'm not sure that these are the people Obama was speaking to. I haven't kept up, but I think the meeting with Hillary's bundlers just took place or will very shortly. I assume that the deal is that Hillary will deliver her big donors as long as Obama agrees to help her get rid of her campaign debt. And, I wouldn't be surprised if they make it happen.

Where are these "small donors" coming up with these contributions? My extra cash goes into my gas tank these days. I wonder how many of them are running up their credit card debt to support Obamessiah.
