Defeating hope

"How do you defeat hope?" A panelist on the Fox News Channel said that yesterday in response to why John McCain would have a tougher time against Barack Obama as opposed to Hillary Clinton in a November election match-up.

Well, McCain can do it--by matching his decades of experience, including over two decades in Congress, against the candidate with one of the flimsiest résumés ever to run for president.

Senator Clinton can't do that--because if she dismantles Obama's "Cult of Change," she'll be despised by half of her Democratic base.

McCain doesn't have to worry--he's not going to get that many Democratic votes, especially from Obama's far-left base.

Obama swept the "Potomac Primaries" today--Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. So much of the lifeblood of a presidential run is based on, well, hope. And the perception is that HRC's time has passed. That may be proven wrong in such by Clinton in states that may be more supportive of her--Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Knowing this, Monday night she brought up Obama's jailed pal, Tony Rezko, in response to a question over why she and her husband haven't released her tax returns.

Too little, too lame, too late.

McCain also hit a triple play in the Potomac primaries.

Right now I'm watching Obama rail about the profits Exxon/Mobil raked is last year.

That won't play so well in the fall.

"Hope" can be defeated--by showing America that once you drain out all the liberal ideology out of Obama's "Cult of Change," there is nothing left in the junior senator's gravy boat.

When America achieved world-power status over a century ago, the era of learning-on-the-job presidents ended.
