Hillary and Obama: Let the mud fly


Here's a bit of fun from last night's Democratic presidential debate in South Carolina in this YouTube video.

Obama's favorable comments last week on Ronald Reagan, which I have no problem with, were used last night against the Illinois senator by Hillary Clinton.

You can taste the bile in the clip, and when Obama brought up Hillary Clinton's time during the Reagan era working "as a corporate lawyer sitting on the board of Wal-Mart."

Again I have no problem with that, but among the far-Left of the Democratic Party, Wal-Mart is viewed as a bogey-man. This will not be an issue in the general election, nor should it, in my opinion.

Once Wal-Mart was brought up, Senator Clinton had no choice but to bring up Tony Rezko, telling Obama the she was "fighting against" (Reagan's) "ideas, while (Obama was) practicing law and representing your contributor, Rezko in his slum landlord business in inner city Chicago."

Obama replied that he only worked five hours on Rezko business. True. But Clinton could've added that one of Obama's former bosses, a name partner, Allison S. Davis, is a Rezko business partner, and the his firm, now known known as Miner, Barnhill & Galland, did additional legal work for Rezko real estate projects, probably a lot more. Here's another YouTube video, from last April, where see NBC 5 Chicago reporter Carol Marin talk about Senator Obama "(going) out of his way....to avoid reporters and their questions" about Rezko's Chicago slums.

Unlike the Wal-Mart and Hillary tie, if Obama wins the Democratic nomination, we'll be hearing a lot more about Antoin "Tony" Rezko.

Oh, I almost forgot, Obama's wife Michelle once served on the board of directors of TreeHouse Foods, whose biggest customer is--Wal-Mart.
