Kirstie Alley is dreaming of a Scientology Christmas

In 1993, Kirstie Alley appeared with fellow Scientologist John Travolta in the film Look Who's Talking Now, a sequel to a sequel.

There's a Santa's Village set in the movie, and Alley lugs it around the country. Now it's in her native Wichita, and Alley is Kansas' largest city tonight, and she's using the set, a Christmas set that is, for a Scientology fundraiser.

From the Wichita Eagle:

"I love Christmas," Alley said during an interview in her living room Friday. "For me, it starts at the end of October and goes through Valentine's Day. That's why I love that thing. I've drug it around all over the place."

Kirstie Alley's Santa's Village, which will take place from 5 to 9 p.m., is one of many holiday events -- from tours of decked-out neighborhoods to drive-through light displays -- that will draw bundled-up Christmas crowds throughout Wichita this weekend.

She recently purchased a large, wood-shingled house at 3725 E. Douglas, next to her residence in the former Inn At the Park; she thought the home's wooded front yard would be the perfect location for the Christmas set.

She had it transported to Wichita and planned the event, which will serve as a fundraiser for the Church of Scientology Mission of Wichita.

The event will feature hot refreshments, a gospel choir singing Christmas music and an appearance by Santa.

Gospel choir? Scientology fundraiser?

An appearance by Santa? But not Xenu?
