And today it happened again.
From the Chicago Sun-Times:
Chicago Ald. Arenda Troutman was arrested by federal agents this morning at her home on corruption charges.
Agents had to break a window to get in to Troutman's home. She wouldn't answer the door but had been seen peering through a window.
Among other acts, Troutman is accused of bribe-taking, a source with knowledge of the investigation said.
Troutman has been under scrutiny by law enforcement for years. Investigators are seeking her cooperation.
According to the same source, the FBI questioned Ald. Troutman in regards to her alleged love affair with a Chicago street gang member, Donnell "Scandalous" Jehan.
