Sanity Squad podcast on a nutty Psychology Today article

During my morning run today among the snow flurries, I listened to the latest Pajamas Media Sanity Squad podcast.

The four mental health professional/bloggers, Siggy, Neo-Neocon, Shrinkwrapped, and Dr. Sanity, tackle and skewer a recent nutty Psychology Today article by Jay Dixit.

In essence, Dixit claims that liberals are more rational, conservatives more fearful.

The panelists, none of whom liked the article, argue that acknowledgement of fear, real fear, is rational.

They also don't agree 9/11 made some liberals from "instant conservatives." To paraphrase Neo-Neocon, change is a slow process.

My take? Ronald Reagan began taking on conservative views as early as 1948. He didn't officially become a Republican until 1962.

Oh, thank you Shrinkwrapped for adding me to your blogroll.
