Yesterday I ventured to Colorado's state capitol and visited Colorado Veterans Monument, which was dedicated on November 11, 1990. It was constructed with red sandstone from Boulder County.
On the base of the obelisk is this inscription:
Dedicated by the people of Colorado in gratitude and respect to the men and women who have proudly served and sacrificed in our nation's armed forces.Today is Veterans Day. Remember to thank a vet for your freedom.
