Class warfare update: Rep. Schakowsky wants millionaire tax

The Democrats want to return to a favored theater of action--class warfare.

Earlier today my congresscritter, Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), introduced what she is calling the "Fairness in Taxation Act."

If Schakowsky gets her way, which isn't very likely by the way, Americans who make more than $1 million will be taxed at a rate of 45 percent, instead of 35 percent. Those earning more than $10 million will pay a tiny bit more.

The Democrats call these people superrich, but I call them job creators.

"This isn't about punishment or revenge," Schakowsky said in a statement, "It's about fairness."

It's about class warfare, Jan. It's a loser issue for the Dems.

As with most Democrats, Schakowsky is allergic to budget cuts.

"Class warfare"
You mean as opposed to the class warfare that's being raged against the working and middle classes by the Republicans?
Is that what you mean by Class warfare, or does it only count if you raise taxes on those poor little million an billionaires?

You know what I meant. And those "poor little millionaires and billionaires" do the hiring and the investing.

And how will Jan's millionaire tax change that?
