The Chicago Tribune referred to last night's Right Nation 2010 "as a choreographed night of conservative political cheerleading." Although a long-ago promise to attend my 30th high school reunion prevented me from the Glenn Beck speech, I saw the event as a gathering of over 5,000 Americans who wanted to bring smaller government to America.
One third of its report on the event was devoted to the 300 protesters, which because of the their positioning, could have only been noticed by at best half of the attendees. And of those, many of that group ignored the "astroturfers."
Reporting like this is why the mainstream media keeps losing its audience and laying off employees.
About the reunion: Many fans of the blog were there, they remember some posts better than I do. If they are reading Marathon Pundit, they aren't reading the Trib. Time is still a finite resource.
