Tea Party Express heads to the South

"Tulsa Time" is over for the Tea Party Express and the freedom caravan continues its reverse manifest destiny. Today's first rally is at 10:00am CDT outside the state capitol in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Then the TPX arrives in Elvis Presley's hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi for a 4:00pm city hall rally, just steps from Tupelo Hardware, where I met salesman Howard Hite, who is posing at the spot where the future king bought his first guitar.

There are a lot of misconceptions about tea parties, and there have been several attempts to smear the movement. But beyond that, there is actually are several musicians performing at the rallies--something even the conservative media sometimes overlooks. These artists are Lloyd Marcus, Diana Nagy, Rivoli Review, and Polatik.

In case you are under the misconception that the tea party movement is comprised only white people, you need to know that Marcus is African-American, and Polatik is Hispanic.

Tupelo, tunes, and tea parties. I think Elvis would like that.

I hope my home state of Mississippi does not act like Nevada did with the eggs- http://socyberty.com/issues/tea-party-express-bus-egged-by-harry-reid-supporters/

I do wish they would come to Hattiesburg, MS. I would love to hear first hand what the Tea Party has to say.
