Tea Party Express coming to Rockford April 6

Ronald Reagan utilized a 1984 train ride to make one of the most memorable campaign ads of our time.

Long journeys symbolize accomplishment--and The Gipper had plenty of them when he was campaigning for a second term.

Another long journey begins Saturday in Nevada--Tea Party Express III--Just Vote Them Out. This cross country freedom caravan will ignite plenty of accomplishments. In November and beyond.

And the Tea Party Express is coming to northern Illinois, the birthplace of our 40th president.

From a Rockford Tea Party press release:

(Rockford, Illinois) - Join us for the biggest Tea Party Express national tour to date for one of only two stops in Illinois. On April 6th at 1:00pm in Rockford is one of them, and Illinois is of course the home state of President Barack Obama and Senator Dick Durbin, as well as Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan.

The Tea Party Express will bring its message to the "The Forest City" and across the nation all the way to Washington, D.C. on April 15th.

"You, the politicians in Washington, have failed We The People with your bailouts, out-of-control deficit spending, government takeovers of sectors of the economy, cap and trade, government-run health care, and higher taxes! If you thought we were just going to quietly go away, or that this tea party movement would be just a passing fad, you were mistaken. We're taking our country back!

This family-friendly rally encourages all citizens who want lower taxes and less government to participate by bringing their American flags, patriotic attire, and signs to display the spirit of the colonial patriots of the 1773 Boston Tea Party, which led to the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Re-affirm your commitment to our Constitution and our freedoms by being part of this energizing event

Tuesday, April 6th. 1:00pm
Davis Park 329 S. Wyman Street
Rockford. The TPX buses arrive at 2:30pm.

Guest Speakers include: Adam Andrzejewski former Illinois gubernatorial candidate; Denise Cattoni, Coordinator Illinois Tea Party Patriots; Joe Walsh, 8th Congressional District candidate, IL; Jim Tobin, President, National Taxpayers United of Illinois; Zach Oltmans, President, Illinois Conservatives; John Bambenek, The "Put Back Amendment" Author; Rosanna Pulido, former 5th Congressional District candidate, Lex Green, Libertarian Party gubernatorial candidate, and William Kelly, former candidate for Comptroller.

RockfordTeaParty will also have a food drive to replenish the Rockford Food Pantry Coalition from 1 pm until the Tea Party Express buses leave at 4:30.

For more information visit our website.
These our truly fun events--with live music. Don't believe the establishment media slurs that tea partiers are rude louts. As for the food drive, Rockford is going through a tough time--it's suffering from a 20 percent unemployment rate. Be true a patriot by helping out your fellow Americans.

And yes, I will be at the rally--where I will finally meet Andrea Shea King.
