Jesse Sr. No timetable on son's return to Congress

The Rev. Jesse Jackson, April 7, 2012
The drip...drip...drip of news continues from the Jesse Jackson, Jr. camp. The latest piecemeal revelation comes from his father.

From AP:
The Rev. Jesse Jackson says his congressman son's treatment at the Mayo Clinic for depression is a "game changer."

The elder Jackson spoke to reporters about U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. on Saturday outside a Chicago movie theater. The civil rights leader was with protesters supporting an assault weapons ban. Jackson said there is no timetable on his son's recovery and asked for prayers for their family.
At some point it's fair to ask whoever is speaking for Junior if he's going to return to Congress. Unlike Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois, Jackson's office and his spokespersons have not been forthcoming about his treatment.

The House Ethics Committee is investigating Junior for his alleged role in the attempted sale of Barack Obama's old Senate seat.

(Video) Romney: Alliance between Israel and USA is a force for good

Here's a portion of what Mitt Romney said about the American-Israeli alliance earlier today in Jerusalem.
I believe that the enduring alliance between the State of Israel and the United States of America is more than a strategic alliance: it is a force for good in the world. America's support of Israel should make every American proud. We should not allow the inevitable complexities of modern geopolitics to obscure fundamental touchstones. No country or organization or individual should ever doubt this basic truth: A free and strong America will always stand with a free and strong Israel. And standing by Israel does not mean with military and intelligence cooperation alone. We cannot stand silent as those who seek to undermine Israel, voice their criticisms. And we certainly should not join in that criticism. Diplomatic distance in our public between our nations emboldens Israel's adversaries. By history and by conviction, our two countries are bound together. No individual, no nation, no world organization, will pry us apart. And as long as we stay together and stand together, there is no threat we cannot overcome and very little that we cannot achieve.
