Video: Romney on Iran and Israel at Illinois town hall

In the first question during last night's town hall meeting in Vernon Hills, Illinois, Mitt Romney was asked what he would do as president to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons--and would a President Romney support Israel. The former Massachusetts governor's answer included condemning President Obama for not aiding the protesters during Iran's 2009 'Green Revolution.' Romney added that Iran is "the world's state sponsor of terror."

He continued, "A nuclear Iran is unacceptable to America and to the world." Romney also took Obama to task for not supporting our ally in the Middle East. "And with regards to possible military action, he and his administration continue to speak as if they are more worried about Israel taking military action than they are about Iran becoming nuclear," Romney said. Romney supports indicting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad under the Genocide Convention for "incitation to genocide." The reference to the heat in the gymnasium was made by Romney because it was unseasonably warm yesterday.
