As we wind down the 60th anniversary celebration of the Kinks, a wondrous way to end it is with their powerful 1977 holiday single, "Father Christmas." 

Unlike most Christmas rock songs, "Father Christmas" includes a potent social message.

Construction of Chicago migrant camp that neighbors didn't want is shut down by state over environmental concerns

Just hours after officials from Mayor Brandon Johnson's administration said Southwest Side migrant camp--designed for 2,000 people--was deemed safe, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency shut down construction of the camp. 

Lead, mercury, and arsenic were discovered there, which the city knew about. Now Johnson is forced to find a new location for the camp. 

Residents in the working-class neighborhood have been protesting the building of the tent city camp for weeks. This is a major, and well-deserved, black eye for Johnson, a far-left Democrat. 

 Leftists are the worst listeners I know.
