No Illinois metro areas in top 50 in U.S. News and World Report list of "Best Places to Live"

U.S. News and World Report's just issued its 2023-2024 report of "Best Places to Live" in the United States. To score well, according to the publication, a metro area must be a "good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life."

Not surprisingly no Illinois cities scored well--none in the top 50. Peoria was the highest, at 70, Chicago placed at 123.

Crime, corruption, government incompetence, and high taxes have a price.
